At Taco Tribe, our goal is to use our NFTs not only to give some fun and joy to our investors, but we also want to give back, contribute and bring awareness to a good cause. For that reason, Taco Tribe NFTs has decided to contribute 20% of our initial sales towards the research to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Currently I've been able to donate $5,289 to the charity. Screenshots of all our donations can be found here.

You may be wondering, what is Alzheimer’s Disease? According to Alz.org, “Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia that affects memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms eventually grow severe enough to interfere with daily tasks.” Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive neurologic disorder that causes the brain to shrink and the brain cells eventually die. This disease affects a person's ability to communicate which causes a decline in their thinking; it causes changes in their behavior and social skills and also causes memory loss leaving them unable to function independently. This is something that hits close to home for me as my family is also being affected by this horrible disease. I am doing this for my grandfather who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

At the moment, there is no cure for Alzheimer's disease and this leaves its victims open to complications from severe loss in brain functionality which eventually result in death. At Taco Tribe NFTs, we want to do what we can to help bring awareness to this disease and do our part to help find a cure as too many lives are taken because of this unfortunate illness.
